MAGGIE (5) stuck on well to finish second last start over 6f at Mahoning Valley (Dirt), beaten half a length as favourite. Likely improver with strong prospects. CONTROLLED TEMPER (4) scored at her most recent appearance, getting home by 0.8 lengths over 7f at this track (Dirt) as favourite. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins and two minor placings from six outings. Can measure up again. FINE WHINING (3) started at 4/1 last time but could only manage eighth, beaten 8 lengths, at this track over 4½f. Should camp just off the leaders. One of the main contenders. MADE BIRDIE (1) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7f at this track, beaten 12 lengths. This looks a good race for her so another forward showing looks likely.
