KING KONTIE (8) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 4½f at this track, beaten 8 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Has been in the money at each second up start. Strips fitter and can find the winner's circle. ROCKET APPEAL (3) ran below expectations last time after being in the firing line on the corner at this track (Dirt), finishing fifth and beaten 5.5 lengths starting at 5/2. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. HOPPING HENRY (6) got a long way back when 6 lengths from the winner in fifth over 4½f at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at this track the run before. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. NICO (9) is a eight-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Javier Contreras yard. Resumes after finishing fourth at Colonial Downs (Dirt) at his last run five-and-a-half months ago. Not seen at the trials but goes well fresh from a lay-off, filling a placing three times from five runs. Has to be respected.
