THE GOV (4) finished 11th two runs back at Murray Bridge then improved last time out to score by a head as favourite over 5¼f at Kingscote. Meets some better types this time but another win beckons. LAKEHURST (11) settled well back last start and never threatened when 9 lengths from the winner in 11th over 5¼f at Oakbank. Beautifully placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. THE LAST STAND (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 8 lengths when tenth over 6f at Port Lincoln eight days ago after being prominent at the bend. Ideally placed and is sure to be there at the finish. SO COUNTRY (3) tackled city class last start when seventh over 5¼f at Oakbank. Can figure in the finish.
