NEW YORK HURRICANE (8) finished sixth two runs back at this track then improved last time out to score by 1.75 lengths over 1m2f at Kyneton. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought. KEATS (5) was comfortably accounted for when fifth last time out over 1m2f at Kyneton, beaten 5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. That followed a win at Moe at the previous outing. Finds a tougher race but a better run will not surprise. CHARTERHOUSE (4) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2.25 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Randwick. This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the main contenders. Finds a nice race and can bounce back.
