CANNAE (4) drifted back early on debut last start then worked home fairly to finish 2 lengths away in fourth at Sandown-Hillside over 6½f. Will be very WASHINGTON LILAC (9) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound third over 6½f at Seymour. Meets some better types this time but a big run will not surprise. SUNBURNT COUNTRY (7) lifted strongly but just failed to pick up the winner when fresh from a lay-off last start over 7f31yards at Seymour. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. Tackling a deeper field this time but he is capable of running another bold race. WOMBAT (8) is a three-start maiden who returned last time and finished sixth at Sandown-Hillside over 6½f, beaten 3 lengths. Will derive great benefit from that outing and deserves consideration.
