ESPANA (8) finished fifth when resuming two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 5f at Ballarat, beaten only 1. 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Goes up a rung or two but she is capable of running a bold race. GRAM (2) returned from a lay-off three weeks ago when he was prominent at the turn before being beaten 4. 5 lengths into fifth over 5f at Mornington. Going up a level this time but he deserves plenty of thought. LONGREACH DROVER (3) finished second last start over 5½f at Gawler, beaten 0. 6 lengths. Should be peaking. Worth plenty of thought.
