LA TOSCA (1) has clearly been a work in progress. Not disgraced in a trio of starts among novice company this spring and is just the type trainer Charlie Johnston excels with when entering handicaps. Must be considered. Similar comments apply to STAR OF EMERALD (5) who has been gelded since last seen in February. Now climbs in distance which could bring about improvement. GEMICAL (3) shaped better when fourth tackling this trip at Thirsk two weeks ago. Adopts visor for the first time and enters the equation. FAVOURITE FRIEND (7) will have been expected to step forward by now. Worth giving one more chance with new headgear applied.
