Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. OUTSPOKEN LAD (2) made a strong late bid only to just miss last start over 1m2f at Bunbury All Weather. Going up a level this time but he deserves his chance. TROOPER PHOENIX (11) was thereabouts last time out when fourth over 1m1/2f at this track after he was always up in the leading division. The extra journey should play into his hands. Likely to play a major role. GAMBLER'S GOLD (3) recorded another minor placing last time out, finishing second over 1m3f at Broome. Another top-three finish is on the cards.
