OMNIC (5) kept coming but just failed to pick up the winner last start over 6½f at Newcastle. Should be near his peak for this. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is one of the key runners. AMUSING (7) looks close to a win after finishing in the money at both runs, the latest when third at Kembla Grange over 6½f. Should camp just off the leaders. Will prove tough to beat. BANXI (1) has started twice, missing the frame on debut then doing a better job to finish second last time, beaten a neck over 7f at Hawkesbury. The blinkers go on. Strong chance. JOLLY GOOD FELLOW (3) knuckled down strongly to get within 1.2 lengths of the winner in second last start over 7f at Rosehill. Should be winding up late again.
