PINK BAROQUE (7) knuckled down strongly to get within a head of the winner in second last start over 1m at Kembla Grange. Tommy Berry stays aboard and although yet to win has been in the money on two occasions. Leading contender. MICKEY'S MEDAL (2) finished seventh two runs back at Scone then improved last time out to score by 1.5 lengths as public elect after being in the firing line on the corner over 7½f at Hawkesbury. Meets some better types this time but he has the talent to test this line-up. UNTIL VALHALLA (8) met with solid support last start over 7½f at Hawkesbury when fourth, beaten 3 lengths. Takes on a tougher assignment but is capable of featuring. Better than recent efforts suggest.
