Sound record at this distance with two wins and four minor placings from nine runs and shapes as a key contender. SOUTHERN CHILLI (9) just missed last time when a long neck away in second at Randwick Kensington over 5¾f. Leading player again. BALKANS (12) was in the money two starts back at Rosehill but was unable to repeat the effort last time when seventh, beaten 7 lengths, at Wyong over 6f after being prominent at the corner. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. WIZARD OF OZ (4) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 6f at Kembla Grange, beaten 1.3 lengths into fourth. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
