Best figures measure up. Sure to run well. ROWAN AUGUST (6) was in contention on the turn and progressed nicely last start to finish a close second over 1m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. CITY OF LIFE (2) debuted two-and-a-half weeks ago when he finished tenth over 1m at Ellis Park (Turf), beaten 9 lengths. Will take a lot from that last run and is worth following up. DAWKINS (5) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at this track, beaten 8 lengths into fourth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
