BEARINGS (3) finished 3 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1m at Wyong when when resuming from a lay-off. Steps up in journey. Backmarker who keeps coming. Leading contender. DEVIL RIDER (1) hit the frame two starts ago at Hawkesbury but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 6 lengths over 1m at this track. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. ZIGGY ROSE (5) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1m at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. JUAN PABLO (6) was prominent at the bend and finished third last time over 1m2 1/2f at Gosford, beaten 9 lengths. Teaque Gould gets the best out of this four-year-old gelding. This is an easier assignment and can take this out.
