BRANNUM (2) kept coming only to just miss when fresh from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Moruya. Will strip a lot fitter this time around. This is a nice drop in grade so he all set to go one better. WIRE TO WIRE (6) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he settled well back over 7f at Bathurst, beaten 9 lengths into tenth. Tackling a more suitable race this time so he is a major player. PREORDAIN (3) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he got a long way back over 1m at Gosford, beaten 7 lengths into ninth. Has the class to put the recent run of form behind him. BON ELTON (7) was below her best last time when seventh over 5½f at Hawkesbury, beaten 6 lengths. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
