KAFFIR LILY (14) produced a nice effort on debut in better company last start over 7f at this track when second, beaten 1.3 lengths. Will benefit from that experience so she should be in the finish again. LONGINUS (4) was quickly into stride over 7f at this track last time and defied all challengers to score by 1.3 lengths. Has the gate speed to cross from out wide. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HOOLIGAN TOMMY (2) got off the mark over 1m at Scone last start, scoring by a nose. Jean Van Overmeire was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders. ILOVENEWS (12) finished second last time over 1m at Wyong, beaten 2 lengths. This is a nice drop in grade so he is one of the primary contenders.
