GOLDEN OCTAVIAN (2) raced twice in his maiden campaign and started favourite on each occasion without winning, the latest effort a second over 6¼f at this track on December 3. Should take a lot from that first campaign and can measure up. HITCHEDINMANHATTAN (3) is close to breaking through after finishing third last start over 5½f at Gordonvale when she was in the firing line all the way. Taking on a better field but she is capable of running a bold race. POINT TWO (6) led early and was still in the firing line on the turn before tiring to finish fourth over 4¾f at this track last time out. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her.
