DARK AVALANCHE (7) went forward last start over 7f at Belmont Park and held on well for third, beaten 1. 5 lengths. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the speed. Likely improver with strong prospects. SANDFIRE ROSE (13) started at 7/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing tenth and beaten 6 lengths at Pinjarra Scarpside over 1m. Worth noting Holly Nottle goes aboard. Finds a nice race and can make amends. FRIAR'S LEGACY (3) is putting together some solid results. Finished third at Belmont Park two starts back then scored by 1. 75 lengths as favourite last time out over 7f at Kalgoorlie. Meets some better types this time but this looks well within his grasp. AIN'TSOBAD (6) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish ninth, beaten 4. 5 lengths, over 6½f at Pinjarra Scarpside. Cannot be underestimated.
