OLD CHAP (10) missed the frame on debut then progressed nicely at his second outing when in the firing line on the bend, finishing 1.3 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5f at Pinjarra. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. TORONADO ROCKET (2) is a maiden galloper who finished in the placings over 6½f at Northam before going for a break a year ago. Trialling well leading into this. Ready to open his account. SOCIAL AFFAIR (5) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 7f at Ascot. Placed in a recent trial. Has ability and is a leading player. DESERT MADAME (6) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fourth over 6f at Geraldton. Tuned up with a fifth in a recent trial at Belmont Park. Nicely placed and can figure in the finish.
