MANHATTAN STRIP (5) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by 0.6 lengths over 6½f at Northam. Open to plenty of improvement and will be a tough nut to crack again. AMERICAN ESCAPE (7) pushed forward and went on to record a determined win last start by a head over 6½f at Northam. Drawn to enjoy a nice run just off the speed. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is capable of testing her rivals. HAMMARMILL (6) finished out of the money two starts back then she was never in contention and was beaten 3 lengths when fifth over 7f at Pinjarra Scarpside two-and-a-half weeks ago. Tackling a more suitable race this time so she will be hard to beat. DIRTY CHAI (8) scored last start at Carnarvon to make it three wins from three starts this campaign. Goes well at this distance with five wins and a placing from eight starts and is not to be discounted.
