Strong chance to kick the campaign off on the right note. ROGUES POINT (4) started at 5/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 7 lengths at this track over 1m2f after being prominent at the bend. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. MIR (9) fought on well to finish second last start over 7f at Carnarvon, beaten 0.9 lengths as favourite. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. DARK CITY (1) turned in a fine effort to win by 2 lengths at this course and distance last time out to continue his outstanding recent form. No reason he cannot salute again.
