MY OLD MATE (4) showed plenty of early speed and was leading for much of the way before finishing 1. 5L adrift at Lingfield. Warrants thought as well positioned to give another bold showing and should take beating. DANEHILL STAR (5) provided good form before running fifth here. Might be bouncing back. WAR CHANT (2) is enduring a lengthy lay-off without a win. Better than that latest sixth and likely to make his presence felt this time around.
