GAME COVE (1) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a long neck from the winner in second over 5f at Mildura after being in contention on the turn. Sairyn Fawke gets the best out of this six-year-old gelding. Tackling a more suitable race so he is likely to play a big role. OUR ELLIE ROSE (8) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fifth, beaten 4.5 lengths, over 6f at Mt Gambier. One to watch for late in proceedings. OAMARU POPPY (5) finished 10 lengths adrift in ninth last time at Mt Gambier in a disappointing performance. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. ARACHNATTACK (7) flew the gates and led throughout to score by one length last start over this journey at Echuca. Has a decent record at this track. Not to be discounted.
