WHOLESOME (12) had been going okay but was safely held last start when fifth over 6f at Betoota. Too good to dismiss after one bad run. PANDA DRUM (8) started at 5/2 last time on the back of a win at Mt Isa two starts ago but was below his best, finishing fifth over 7¼f at Mt Isa. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. TORQUE ESPAGNA (15) hit the frame two starts ago at Mackay but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 33 lengths over 1m1 1/4f at Home Hill. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she can win if at her best. HE'S MAVERICK (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Betoota, beaten 6 lengths into sixth. Capable of featuring prominently.
