THORNABY PEARL (2) finished fifth on seasonal reappearance in a Doncaster handicap but then improved a couple of months later to place third at Hamilton Park twelve days ago. Expected to challenge. NORDIC GLORY (4) found a good 1L victory on most recent appearance in a handicap at Bath a fortnight ago on first start since February. Can double up. DESERT MASTER (9) makes some attraction towards the bottom of the weights. Narrowly lost out by a neck to finish runner-up in a Southwell AW handicap. May go one better. SOUTH SHORE (5) could improve from finishing a below par fifth at Southwell AW a month ago.
