Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. CALLAWADDA (7) travelled in a rearwards position then made some inroads and finished 9 lengths away in ninth last time out over 1m3f at Hamilton two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Commendable record at this trip with a win and two minor placings and is among the leading chances. SPLIT (4) settled well back last start and never threatened when 6 lengths from the winner in ninth over 1m2f at Seymour. Is yet to be beaten in two starts here. Meets some better types this time but a big run will not surprise. BLUE ISMAY (10) got off the mark with an impressive maiden win last time out over 1m2f at Pakenham. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. One of the likely contenders despite the step up in grade.
