AVENUES (1) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Geelong. Not as effective last time out when seventh over 1m4f at Swan Hill, beaten 5 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Has the talent to take this out. HOLLY'S STAR (10) was in contention on the corner and progressed nicely last start to finish a close third over 1m7f at Mornington after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Looks well placed so expect another big run. SHADES OF SHERIFF (11) ran below expectations last start, finishing fifth and beaten 4.5 lengths at Swan Hill over 1m. Worth another chance.
