LOOSE ON GIN (7) followed an unplaced effort when resuming two runs back with a second last start over 6½f at Stawell. Likely improver with strong prospects. CAPITOL QUEEN (9) finished 2.75 lengths away in fourth last time out over 6f at Mornington after being in contention on the corner three weeks ago. Tackles a longer journey this time. Major player in this line up. SHIFTY TYCOON (6) broke through for his maiden win over 7f at Benalla last time. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Looks well placed and he is right in the mix again. SOUTHERN NATIVE (12) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 7f at Ballarat, beaten just 0.8 lengths. Likely to hold the form and is a strong top-three prospect.
