Well-placed and is expected to prove hard to beat. ASHAU VALLEY (1) finished ninth two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1m2f at Wangaratta, beaten only a long neck after being in contention on the bend. Finds a more suitable contest and can take the next step and salute. MYSTIC VAMP (6) was ridden quietly then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 7 lengths away in sixth last time out over 1m at Pakenham two-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in distance. Comes down a level this time. Has winning claims. KILKENNY LASS (4) could only manage ninth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m2f at Wangaratta, beaten a long neck. Finds a nice race and can keep improving.
