NONESOSPICY (1) resumed over 5f last time out and turned in a solid effort to finish second at Ascot when she was up on the pace all the way. Won't be bothered by this longer journey. The one to beat. ACORN (2) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a nose away in second over 5½f at Ascot after being prominent from the outset. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. CAPORETTO (8) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a seventh over 7f at Ascot. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he cannot be underestimated. MT SHIRATAKU (3) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 1. 3 lengths away in fourth over 6f at this track on December 3 which was the only run of that prep. Trialling well leading into this. Has scored when resuming from a lay-off before. Should park just off the speed despite the draw. Don't underestimate.
