RECONNAISSANCE (5) has been in the money at his last couple of runs, the latest when third over 7½f at Pinjarra Scarpside. Will find this tougher but should be hard to stop. FIFTH ESSENCE (1) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 2 lengths from the winner in second over 7f at this track after being in the firing line on the turn. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. HOWDY (2) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 4. 5 lengths into 12th over 7f at Ascot. Has a fair record when second up, including three top-three finishes. Finds a more suitable contest and can find winning form. HOYA DESTROYER (4) was prominent at the turn and finished third last start over 7f at Ascot, beaten 1. 3 lengths. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run again.
