SHOOTING SPIRIT (1) returned from a lay-off a week-and-a-half ago when he was beaten 4 lengths into 11th over 6f at Ascot. Enjoys a drop in grade so he can make amends. RANYX (4) showed good early dash and raced on the speed at the first run back from a break last start before fading to finish 2 lengths back in fourth over 6½f at Northam. Well placed and should be tough to rein in. DON'T TRUST JUDAS (3) came home soundly to finish fourth when resuming over 6f at Ascot last time out. Backmarker who keeps coming. Capable of a big run. TRUE BLUE BONDI (7) closed last prep five months ago when he finished 12th over 7f at Bunbury. Aided by the booking of William Pike who has never been out of the money in three rides on this four-year-old gelding, including a win. One of the leading contenders.
