CORN COB (4) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at this track but raced below expectations last time over 7f at this track, finishing seventh and beaten 3.5 lengths after being prominent at the turn. Perfectly placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. CATALPA (1) has been out of the winner's list for a long time, last start finishing fifth at this track over 6f. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot return to winning ways. DEAMBER (7) was in the money two starts back at this track but couldn't back it up last time when eighth, beaten 6 lengths, at this track over 7f. Open to improvement and should be about the money.
