BIRD'S THE WORD (1) ran below expectations last time at this track, finishing fifth and beaten 5.5 lengths starting at 8/1. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. STARRING KNIGHT (3) hasn't made an impression since resuming despite market confidence. Last start could only manage seventh over 6½f at this track. Open to improvement and is among the chances. DEFERRED (7) has put together a couple of wins at this track, the latest on July 24 over 6f when she got home by 0.6 lengths. Winning rider Chris Parnham retains the mount. Taking on a better field but she is capable of running another bold race. LITTLE SILVER (2) pushed forward from a wide draw last time and sat just off the lead, eventually drawing away to score by 1.5 lengths over 6½f at this track. Can figure in the finish again.
