CLOSE AT HAND (1) resumes after a break of five months. Trying to repeat his debut win over 5f at this track to kick off last prep. Placed in a recent trial. Has ability and should be right in the finish. HOT NOVA (8) showed good early speed and raced on the pace when when resuming after a lay-off last start before fading to finish seventh, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 5f at Bunbury. Cannot be underestimated.
