BIRD'S THE WORD (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a nose from the winner in second over 6f at this track after being prominent at the bend. Nicely placed to feature in the finish. EL PATRON (9) has been in good form, scoring three back at Ascot then placing twice in a row, most recently finishing third when he was prominent throughout over 6½f at this track. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. CLIMB ON TOP (6) returned from a lay-off two weeks ago when he was beaten 3 lengths into seventh over 6f at this track. Unbeaten in two starts when second up, last prep scoring over 7f at Ascot. Fitter so expect a better run this time. BREAD TO FLIRT (7) finished 2.75 lengths adrift in sixth last time over 6f at this track in a disappointing performance. Nicely placed to turn things around.
