NIIGATA (1) won making flat debut (1m2f) last year. Deteriorated rapidly afterwards. Goes hurdling which might renew enthusiasm. SHABOOZEE (8) made little impression in two starts to date (unseated at the first on debut). Represents a top yard so may yet do better. Similar comments apply to OLD BRIDGE (7). Well beaten in a jumpers flat race on his only start to date. Might show progress tackling hurdles.
