Race Tip

HIT (10) finished sixth over 5½f at this track last time out following a determined win when fresh from a lay-off two runs back. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Expecting a bold showing. MALTALI (8) hit the frame two starts ago at Dalby but ran below par last time when eighth and beaten 2.75 lengths over 5½f at Gatton. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is one of the chief contenders. MISS ZERMATT (15) was in the firing line on the turn and finished third last time over 5½f at Gatton, beaten 1.1 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough to take this out. VELVET (18) finished third at Gold Coast Poly two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 6f at Murwillumbah, finishing 7 lengths back in seventh. Suitably placed so anticipating a better run this time.
