Race Tip

COMIC CULTURE (2) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 7f at Grafton after being prominent from the outset. Beautifully placed and is sure to take a ton of beating. SMICHOV (4) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish sixth, beaten 5 lengths, over 6¼f at Newcastle. Will be handy in the run and should prove hard to run down. BRASS MONKEYS (5) had been racing okay but he was safely held last time out when tenth over 7f at Goulburn. Open to plenty of improvement. SELLICKS BEACH (6) won on debut last time out three weeks ago over 5f at Muswellbrook, getting home by a head. Should run very well.
