MEDINAH (5) worked home well and finished 2.25 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 7f at Mudgee, an improvement on his 13th at Kembla Grange the run before. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CHOP THE ICE (7) got home by just 0.9 lengths at his latest appearance over 6½f at Goulburn. Gets some weight relief this time so he is worth following up. KOTAISHI (12) recorded a minor placing two starts ago at Queanbeyan then couldn't handle better opposition last time when tenth over 7½f at Hawkesbury, beaten 4.5 lengths. Can bounce back in this far more suitable contest. BONUS TEMPUS (11) caught the eye last start over 1m at Sapphire Coast, coming from well back to finish a long neck from the winner in second. Confidence high after that last performance so he can figure in the finish again.
