SMASHING ROSIE (3) settled well back last start and never threatened when 4 lengths from the winner in sixth over 6½f at Mackay. Beautifully placed and is sure to prove tough to beat. YOU KAY SQUEEZE (4) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished second at Longreach two starts back then scored by 1. 4 lengths as favourite last time out over 7f at Clermont. Meeting a tougher field but on current form she is right in contention. BETTA THAN PRESLEY (1) scored at his most recent appearance, getting home by 1. 75 lengths over 6f at Emerald. That continued the good form this campaign, with two wins from five runs. Solid top-three chance. ARMSTRONG BAY (7) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 1. 5 lengths, over 6f87yards at Emerald. One of the main contenders.
