BLANC DE NOIR (7) settled well back but hit the line hard to win by a head over this course and distance last start in a nice progression on the when resuming performance. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. HEAD HONCHO (3) is returning from a lay-off of ten weeks. Finished eighth at Cairns over 4¾f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Ray Hermann. Has found a suitable race and can take this out. SUPERSTITIOUS (5) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Henry Forster barn. Finished off last campaign with a win at Grafton 11 weeks ago. Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. Should feature in the finish. HIGHGROUND (2) missed the frame on dirt over 5f at Longreach in a then filled a minor placing last start on the same surface at Blackall, beaten 3. 5 lengths over the 5¼f journey. Makes plenty of appeal back on the turf.
