STORM MERCHANT (1) showed good speed last time out and fought on well when second over 6f at Port Macquarie. Has the gate speed to cross from out wide. Winning rider Jett Newman stays aboard. Fitter and is expected to feature. LOFTY MACSPORRAN (3) wasn't disgraced in city class last time when finishing sixth at Eagle Farm. Should enjoy the significant drop in grade. Should be in the finish. PERMISSION GRANTED (2) was well in commission when resuming last start over 5f at Port Macquarie but could only manage fourth, although only 1. 4 lengths from the winner. Likely to go forward from a nice draw. One to consider. ENHANCE (5) showed little early speed then came with a powerful run to finish third last time out over 5f at Grafton. Tough to stop again.
