Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he is up to the challenge. KALKANLI (4) tackled city class latest when sixth at Eagle Farm, finishing 4.5 lengths from the winner. Faces a far less daunting assignment this time. Should measure up. SMOKIN' DE QUO (13) was beaten 4 lengths into fifth over 1m1/2f at Grafton last time out. No surprise to see her in the mix.
