MAX 'O' MAX (5) improved sharply on his fifth two starts back at Grafton with success over 1m1 1/2f at this track a week-and-a-half ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Nicely placed to take this out. THREE GRACES (4) was a strong winner last time over 1m at Grafton, scoring by a head to make it two on end. Should park just off the speed. Will prove tough to beat. BORN TO BE ALIVE (9) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when eighth over 1m1/2f at Gold Coast after he was in the firing line on the corner. Will strip fitter and looks the main danger. TRUE FAIRY (6) hasn't made an impression since resuming despite market confidence. Last start could only manage eighth over 1m at Grafton. Well-placed and can sneak into the finish.
