STEAMY MIST (9) missed the frame when resuming last start over 5f at Pakenham but wasn't all that far from the winner. Leading prospect. UNOBSCURED (8) was well fancied when resuming last start over 5f122yards at Sale when fifth, beaten 9 lengths. Improvement to come and the addition of blinkers is a positive sign. AFFIRMATIVE LAD (5) was last at the races when he finished tenth over 6f at this track on November 20. Among the better hopes. VILLA CAPITALISTA (4) got off the mark over 5½f at Ararat last start, scoring by one length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. This is tougher but he cannot be underestimated.
