SAVVIE BLANC (1) strode forward early from his wide draw to settle just off the lead last start then lifted to score by 0. 8 lengths at Seymour over 1m. One of the main contenders. LIFE SENTENCE (2) was out of the money two runs back when fresh from a lay-off then again missed the frame last start over 7½f at Caulfield Heath, beaten 3. 5 lengths into ninth. No surprise to see him in contention.
