NOONDAY GUN (4) is a talented jumper who has been mixing the disciplines in great style of late. Made it four wins in a row last start when he scored over 1m7 1/2f on the flat at Warrnambool. That success came on the back of a win (2m1 1/4f) at Warrnambool on July 6. Highly impressive of late and looks tough to beat again back over the obstacles. STERN IDOL (1) is a fine jumper who has been relentless in recent runs. Made it four wins in a row last start when he scored in the Crisp Steeple (2m5f) at Sandown-Lakeside. That success came on the back of a win (2m1f) at Hamilton July 20. In great form and will give backers a great sight. THE MIGHTY SPAR (2) got the prize (2m3f) at Casterton two runs ago then performed poorly when beaten 20 lengths into fifth most recently in the Grand National Hurdle hurdle (2m5f) at Sandown-Lakeside. Has the right credentials. LEADERBOARD (3) did fairly well when he finished second (2m1 1/4f) at Warrnambool two runs back. Franked that form when just 14 lengths away in second last time out (2m2f) at Coleraine. Hard to leave out.
