VERY GRATEFUL (8) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Pakenham Synthetic, finishing third and only a neck from the winner at the end of 7f after being in contention on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. BLAIKEN (11) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when he was always well out of his ground over 5f at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths into ninth. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. MISS REMSKI (5) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 13 lengths away in 11th over 5½f at Warrnambool. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
