MISS KASEI (12) held on well to finish third when when resuming from a break last time out over 5½f at this track after leading for much of the way. Will take catching. SPIRIT OF GAIA (7) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Seymour but raced below expectations last time over 6f at Ballarat, finishing ninth and beaten 9 lengths. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. NEW CHARACTER (9) was well in the market on debut last start but could only manage sixth at this track over 5f. Has upside and can measure up. STRAZZ (8) was beaten 6 lengths into sixth over 6f at this track at her latest appearance. Suitably placed so can turn things around.
