BROTHER QUICKIE (3) hit the frame when resuming two runs back at Werribee but couldn't back it up last start when eighth, beaten 7 lengths, over 1m at Pakenham Synthetic after being prominent at the corner. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. TEAM HEIST (8) is still a maiden after eight starts. Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 1m at Pakenham Synthetic following a minor placing at Mornington over 7½f the run prior. Should be in the mix. EMMCEE (4) wasn't far off maiden success before a break of four-and-a-half months, finishing the campaign with a minor placing over 1m at Seymour. Has trialled well leading into this. Nicely placed and can get off the mark. REWARD THE CROWN (7) finished 5 lengths away in fifth at his last appearance over 7½f at this track on June 24. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes.
